Welcome to beautiful Edessa the city of waters and the four seasons! After arrival in the city we will pick you up to transfer you for your hotel check-in. This is followed by food, getting to know the other fellow travelers and an update on the trip. We taste local culinary delicacies such as tsumpleki (layers of meat, vegetables and plums in a shell), koukouloto (pork with peppers or plums, leeks and cheese), bouyurdi (slice, tomato and hot pepper in clay) or pork with quinces and chestnuts accompanied by wines from the vineyards of the area.

Breakfast and our new day begins crossing the green area of Naoussa. Let your gaze lead you through the river gods next to the waters in the arms of Aliakmon. Do your best climbing through the endless twists and turns of the Pieria Mountains in the richest and most beautiful forest complex in Greece, overgrown with chestnut trees in the lower reaches and beech and pine forests higher up at altitudes exceeding 1400 meters. Stop for a while in Sarandaporo, tasting the unique tulumbas (Zande) and with the syrup still touching all the extremities of the body. We continue to the Switzerland of Greece! In the mountains of the prefecture of Karditsa, on the plateau of Nevropoli, drowned in fir trees is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Greece, Lake Plastira. The pre-revolutionary monasteries, high peaks and warm hospitality await us. We continue to Neohori and the Agrafon Refuge. The route is unique as we reach the top of Templa above the shelters. The evening and the overnight stay at the refuge will surely compensate us.....

Breakfast and our new day begins crossing the verdant area of the Nevropolis plateau. We start our physical and mechanical engines and start the day where we will feel the energy of the lakes. We visit Lake Stefaniada. An amazing water kayaking route, in its turquoise calm waters, starts from the north-east side of the lake. The route is circular and ends at the same point again. We move along the shore and enjoy the wonderful natural environment. In the middle of our route we stop at the source of the lake where we walk along the banks of the Stefaniotis River. Of particular interest are the trees that are submerged in the lake and by rowing anyone can approach them and photograph them. We return to the starting point where we enjoy a meal with traditional local products. We end the day approaching Agrafa through a sensational route. Difficult roads and very powerful images await us along the banks of the Agrafiotos river, passing Epiniana and Trovato. Mountains, valleys, impassable but it is a beautiful place. Inside the gorge we will see stone bridges, small military bridges, improvised aerial passages, made of tree branches, and even a reel (cable car): the means used by the locals to join the banks of Agrafiotis. We end up in the homonymous village of Agrafon, where the host Mrs. Anthoula awaits us for a unique hospitality.

We start in the morning heading for Karditsa, crossing this awe-inspiring mountain complex. Here you feel the insignificance of man compared to nature, you listen to the absolute silence. You drive in dirt turns - "horseshoes", in narrow passages on the edge of the cliff and on bridges that creak from the force of the water. You stand "souza" in front of grandmothers with rough hands and clear eyes. You don't just come here for tourism. You come to identify with nature and life in the mountains, to find something completely true; sometimes even yourself. The people of Evrytan, as much as they have experienced poverty, they generously offer hospitality. In the coffee houses the stoves are already smoking, the old faces around have something metaphysical. The handshakes are continuous – their pervasiveness is truly astonishing.
